That is certainly a very small issue. I missed the fact that it was a refurbished item, but I should have known that because of the price. It was shown as a scratch & dent, but looks nearly perfect. I have had several Cuisinart coffee pots and do love the stainless steel carafe. I received it quickly which was appreciated.
