They are a good addition for hiking/camping because the weight is very low. For long-term storage, I would recommend the other types mentioned over these. The entree selections are good b/c they're different than standard military ones. The 3-4 starlight mints that are included are melted and garbage. Not a deal breaker, just a full disclosure. The heaters are very hot and active/responsive. Good seller!
