Saved me lots of money, Great Value
My printouts were heavily streaked. After researching, thought it could be photoconductor imaging kit. Took unit out & cleaned everything with vacuum. Toner gets on everything. Put unit back in and no improvement. Thought I would need a new printer. Looking online, complete genuine imaging kits cost about $350. Crazy! Almost the cost of a new multifunction printer. Found this great value. Thought it was worth the risk (I could be wrong with my troubleshooting). Ordered it. It arrived ahead of schedule. Since printer was already clean. I carefully removed old and installed new. Took about an hour. I said a short prayer and hit print. Was good as or better than new. Problem solved. The description said the box would be damaged but the product would work fine. The box was damaged. The imaging kits were in their original styrofoam packaging properly. When I opened the factory sealed plastic bags containing the imaging kits each had toner on the outside of the imaging kits. Once installed al of the imaging kits leaked toner all over the place. When I put the imaging kit in, the printer made noises. I thought it would stop. The noises continued and toner was leaking all over the place onto the paper drawer and eventually out the bottom of the printer. I finally put a large plastic bag around the printer so I could move it to a trash can and threw the printer out without making an even bigger mess. I figured complaining and having to send the imaging kit back ... The description said the box would be damaged but the product would work fine. The box was damaged. A Lexmark 543 printer is an old model. If you need an imaging kit seriously consider just throwing the printer away and getting a new one. I had two color laser printers, the Lexmark 543 and a Brother 8850 CDW. The Lexmark prints better and this is why I wanted to keep using it when I needed color pictures of higher quality.

Solved all problems
Perfect Lexmark replacement imaging kit. It solved the issue of dumping toner on to the paper and having blotchy prints. Installation was straightforward. Cleaning the printer out was a pain. Fortunately I have unlimited compressed air and did the cleaning outside on a windy warm day. I later found out what caused my original imaging kit to fail. It was the waste toner receptacle getting beyond full. There apparently is no warning message for when the waste toner receptacle gets full. When the waste toner receptacle gets beyond full, it blows the seals out on the imaging kit causing waste toner to dump on to the paper. In my case it was the blue toner that started to dump first. Then the yellow. Though it could be any one of the four drum seals on the imaging kit that starts to leak ... Perfect Lexmark replacement imaging kit. It solved the issue of dumping toner on to the paper and having blotchy prints. Installation was straightforward. Cleaning the printer out was a pain.
