The grates are stored in three separate boxes below the cooktop in the main box. I contacted the Ebay seller to report the broken part. After we went back and forth we finally agreed on a refund of ½ the cost of a grate replacement from the original vendor. Outside of the broken part; the cooktop is beautiful and works properly. I am happy with the resolution.
