    Perfect Fit, Hayward OEM replacement for DE filters

    This is a perfect replacement for the Hayward DE #360 filter , mine is 10 years OLD and this is a PERFECT FIT, easy to install. no instructions, but simple to do, I used a plumbers grade PVC tape, not the cheap crap.

    Beware of the kind of thread dope being used..!!!

    Good Hayward quality. They do need to warn about using thread dope for the ABS plastic used, or you will wind up buying 3 of them like I did. The wrong kind of thread dope (for PVC) cracks the material and it will fail and leak profusely after just a few hours of running under pressure. My bad.... but it would be nice if they would give a very apparent warning upfront since not all of us work with this kind of thing for a living!

    Works like it supposed to but it’s a challenge to dissolve it with MEK. Took me over an hour of stirring to get it close to useable. Wonder why this doesn’t come in granulated or powdered form. That would make it easier to work with.

    Hayward Multiport Valve

    The valve arrived in a timely manner and the box was damaged, but the valve was OK. It fastened directly to my original filter which was in place when I purchaed my home. My pool is now back in service much to my grandchildrens delight.
