Although it was not the fault of the seller (the packaging used to send the item was more than sufficient), my figure did have a manufacturing defect (the left hand was broken off). Thankfully superglue put it back in place and no one can tell it was broken.

    George Gershwin Lives Again in this Wonderful Bio-Pic

    Robert Alda gives a creditable performance as America's great composer, George Gershwin. His Rhapsody has lived and will live on through eternity and so will the many show tunes and standards he left us. Joan Leslie, Oscar Levant, Albert Bassermann, Alexis Smith and the rest of the cast are wonderful as well and help to move the story along. We lost Gershwin all too soon but the music he wrote still fills our hearts. Levant was a personal friend of Gershwin's. He had a quirky sense of humor and he's always a pleasure to watch on-screen.

    Gershwin's best known piece is the perfect title for this film!

    The film portrays one of America's greatest composers and the music, throughout, is spectacular. I learned several interesting facts about George Gershwin and his older brother, Ira that I had not known, previously.

    LOVED THIS MOVIE!

    Loved this movie! I was shocked to find how many older songs I knew and that they were all written by George Gershwin!! I sang my way through much of this entertaining movie. Loved the story line and was so impressed to learn of G. Gershwin's journey through his life. I was also surprised to find that the actor (Robert Alda) who played Gershwin, is Alan Alda's father...which from his looks should have been obvious. :-) Loved it through and through!
