The package does describe it is baing glass, so I do NOT fault the seller for putting that information in the description. But the rain gauge tube is simply a clear plastic, which will quickly degrade in the sunlight and will crumble in a few years. The seller did package the product well and shipped it promptly! The seller did everything a buyer wants!

Left near front door. Driver didn't knock or ring the doorbell. It was just by chance that I saw him leaving otherwise the package could have stayed there for a very long time or worse yet could have been stolen. Why is ebay using Amazon?!?!
