      Much easier than an axe

      This product is solid and does a great job of splitting wood. Assembly was easy. To use it, you just put the log through the top and tap it with a small sledge. Split wood comes out the sides. Free shipping is great on an item that is almost 20 pounds of solid metal.

      Great tool

      This is well built and I got more than I expected. Not only got the splitter but a mall and a pair of gloves. I had ordered a diggers on before and that was cheesy and bent on 2nd piece of wood I wanted to make kindling from. Don’t fool around just do it right the first time and get this one

If you use longer than the distance between the blade and the base, it doesn't cut through and can be very difficult to split. I did not use anything wider than 3 to 4 inches to make kindling with this.
