It was shipped in a repurposed Amazon box that was thin to begin with, and there was not enough cushion material in the box to properly isolate the item. It was free to shift in transit and did not have enough extra packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or paper packing to prevent crushing. The shipping box showed crush marks when it arrived, as did the item's box inside. Luckily the item's box did its job and prevented damage
