    Better than the original

    I installed the grips on an old (1930's) S & W .38 Special Military & Police Model Square butt K-frame. It was easy to remove the old grips, one screw holds them on. The same with the new grips. The new grips are slit in the front, you open the grip and slide the pistol in then put the screw thru and tighten it down. This grip seems to be a huge improvement IMHO. The original grip slid in my hand and seemed too small for my hand (3 & 3/4" across my palm). This grip appears to be made of rubber and it allows a secure grip on the gun. It is not sticky but it will not easily slide on clothing for example. It would not be a good choice for concealed carry because it would catch on your clothes.     Pachmayr Presentation Grip S&W K Frame

    This grip (it is one piece), works great. It gives a you a firm hold on the gun. It allows you to use a speed loader for reloading the cylinder, as the factory large wooden grips would not. I had these same grips (they used to be two piece), on my S&W model 29, which I carried for years. Very functional product.

    Pachmayr is the way to go

    Love these Pachmayr grips. The thin wooden stock grips make it feel like you are holding a broom handle instead of a pistol. The Pachmayr grips are hard rubber, so give is minimal but still feels soft. They are light, but there is still enough weight to make them feel substantial. They are wider and taller so they fit your hand better. They are patterned and shaped to grip your hand better.

    S&W K frame

    What a difference these grips make. These make shooting so much more comfortable and enjoyable. I have used Pachmayr grips in the past and have never been disappointed. I have tried Hoges and have found them not to be as comfortable as the Pachmayr's.
