I bought these blades based on positive reviews all over the internet. They were right. After trying several different brands of blades, I have found these to be the most effective blades. I have an Edwin Jagger razor that I used to dislike but I gave it a try using a feather blade and, oh what a difference! the razor came to life and gave me a stellar shave. I also have a Pearl open comb, and paired with a feather blade could shave several days growth with zero hassle (could probably cut my front yard lawn for that matter). But, before you buy, be aware that these blades are very sharp, load your razor and shave with care. I was very disrespectful when removing this blade for the first time and I almost cut my thumb in half. I’ve used Feather brand blades before with excellent results. Which is why I ordered these. But I am not getting the same results and these new blades are the only change in my shaving regimen. Blades don’t appear to be as sharp or as functional. I use to get an incredible, clean, close shave on the first pass with no nicks that was long lasting. I now get just the opposite and that’s with a new blade. Disappointing. I’ve used Feather brand blades before with excellent results. Which is why I ordered these. But I am not getting the same results and these new blades are the only change in my shaving regimen. Blades don’t appear to be as sharp or as functional. Sharp blades
So sharp, I had to buy adjustable razor. Many cuts, dripping blood. So, I use it once a week to heal my face. Very close shave. Short strokes, light pressure and must have correct angle. I have to concentrate hard and take a deep breath. Avoid non smooth areas. Then, use a normal razor with more suds to get ill shaved hairs and 6 days without Feather after that. Must shave twice on Day 1. Face us healed in 7 days. I use Harry's, cheap and German blades at Target.So sharp, I had to buy adjustable razor. Many cuts, dripping blood. Super Sharp blade, not to be trifled with.
This blade is sharp. I use mine in a Merkur 39C Slant head razor. With wet shaving preparation is key. Pre soak with very hot water, microwave a cup of water to soak the brush in, lather up sections of my face, neck, sides, chin, and shave those sections before the lather cools. On the second pass, lather my whole face and shave again before the lather cools off, on the second pass, doesn't even feel like the blade is there, No cuts, No nicks, No sting when the alcohol hits your face.This blade is sharp. Sharp Sharp Sharp!!
I stayed away from these blades, after reading reviews of how sharp they are, and not recommend for beginers. Well I have been shaving for awhile now and decided to give the feather blades a try. What a great difference in blade quality compared to the other blades I've been using. The feathers are far superior, super sharp, closer shaves, and I can use them for several shaves.
