I was able to remove the old one by sliding the strap which is double thick at the end by sliding it out the slot. But these new buckles seems to have more narrow slot. I will have to cut the stitching on the old strap where it was folded back to make it single thick before I can feed it through the new buckle then sew it back double on the end again. Fortunately I have a sewing machine.
