    Really Genuine

    I was looking long and hard to find a genuine Moen 1225 to fix my sink, because while I could buy it from Moen directly, I really didn't want to pay so much, but there were a LOT of generics out there that had bad reviews. I was a bit sceptical that this was really genuine, since even some others that claimed to be genuine were not, and people had immediate problems or the parts failed after a few weeks. Well, this REALLY IS a genuine Moen part, and it REALLY does work. AND it is less than half the price.

    Moen 1225B

    If the model you buy has a B at the end, then it's the commercial/contractor version. So, it's basically as good as getting factory parts. I find that the generic ones are harder to push in and pull out. With this one it's seamless and stops well. So, if you have the extra money to get these, instead of the generic ones, you'll be happy with your choice. P.S. unless you have the grip of a competitor in the World's Strongest Man, then get the tool to remove cartridges and this install will only take a couple of minutes.

    Moen 1225 cartridge

    OEM Moen shower cartridge, quick delivery. Once I removed the old, leaky shower faucet cartridge, this one went in with no problem. If you are in need of replacing a shower faucet cartridge, it will benefit you to also buy a cartridge puller tool. Without it, I would have never been able to pull out the old cartridge. Also get waterproof silicone lube and apply it to the new cartridge prior to inserting it. Shower now works smoothly and no drips!!
