I knew that when I bought it but I only needed 15 to 20 miles. At 32 miles it pulled in 22 channels with some pixelation. I actually made an antenna with a couple pieces of wire in less than 5 minutes that outperformed this. That said, the intent is to use this at about 17 miles from broadcast towers so it will work perfectly. Don't buy this for distances of more than 25 miles. Otherwise, great product.

I contacted the company & they sent me a list of tips on how to charge the light. After following the advice multiple times without results, I contacted the company again. Their response was to offer to send a replacement. They didn't ask for me to do the time consuming task of returning the defective light. The replacement was shipped the next day. It charged & worked as advertised . Thanks
