    Item is exactly as described, and works with Hunter fan purchased around 2001. The labelling of the Fan Speed buttons is more helpful than the original remote control, but the layout of the buttons is less convenient if using the remote in dim light because it is no longer easy to instantly find the Light control by touch.

    Replaces UC7848T seamlessly as advertised. Popped open the back, set the dipswitches to the same combo as the old remote, put in a 9V battery, and it worked. Just like that. Even had a lost remote that I was also replacing, and I just toggled the switches until I guessed correctly (with 5 switches, there could be 32 possible settings...although I got lucky and got it right on my 2nd try).

    Works for the light feature

    I needed a replacement remote for a ceiling fan that came with the house we purchased. The fan is located in the master bedroom and the remote stopped working months ago. The original remote is hard to find abd when I do find it people ate asking for $200. I might as well buy an entire new ceiling fan. Well thus one will do as it does work for the light feature but NOT the fan. It's ok though as I bought it primarily for the light - hence the 4 stars. I'm happy to have found it though. The seller was absolutely great and no complaints here. Item was packed well and shipped out fast.
