The box is designed to hold the pedals in the BOTTOM portion, which has a much higher lip than than the top. Some pedals may not be reachable in this fashion. I drilled holes and put the rubber feet on the top, which has a much smaller lip, making pedals more accessible.

Reattached the feet to the tray and BAM, perfect. Sit it on the floor, take the new top and it s right there set up and ready to go.
