    "Saw saves elbow grease"

This saw is great for trimming tree limbs up to 3" or 4", or for cutting up limbs that have fallen as a result of a storm. It sure beats dragging a 100 foot extension cord around the property to clean up limb debris. I have a 12 volt Ryobi cordless drill that only has a 3/8" chuck that I use mainly as an electric screwdriver. I like it so well I bought a Ryobi 18V drill that has a 1/2" chuck for drilling holes. I guess you can tell I'm sold on Ryobi products. I just wish the batteries weren't so expensive. Bought separately, they cost almost as much as the tools they power.

  • Very Impressed

I've had cordless power tools in the past. These Ryobi tools are very impressive. Lots of power to cut thru things and pretty nice battery life. Also they charge quickly. I have other tools and also yard tools , blower trimmer weed wacker all work well. Not really heavy duty but great for light work and convenience. Thumbs Up Ryobi! !! :×)

  • time saving for general yard trimming.

i have been using a corded reciprocating for a long time for tree trimming. It is such a pain dragging a 100 foot 12 amp extension cord around. I have been pretty impressed with some of the other ryobi tools i have used over the last few years so i thought is was time to try this. I have 2 lithium batteries that i had charged and ready because i had more trimming than usual. I grabbed a battery and went to work. I was cutting wood up to about 4 inches. To my surprise it went through the 4 inch would just about as fast as my corded and before i knew it i was done with out all the hassle of a cord and didn't even need to change the battery

  • Works well

Haven't used it much yet, so don't know the battery life on it. It must be better than the NiCad powered one I had but lost. It does have this anomaly that I've only seen in Ryobi reciprocal saws. That is when turned on full blast, any long (9 inch plus) blade starts out reciprocating fine and then starts wavering wildly side to side. Doesn't affect the cutting, but got my carpenter, older brother that uses Dewalt, laughing the first time he saw it do this on my last blue model.
