Having a hose is the important feature because it prevents ripping a valve stem while pumping, unlike other pumps where they're directly connected to the stem. The last time I had a ripped valve stem was the last time I'll use a pump that doesn't have a hose. This pump comes with a frame mount, but it's large enough that stowing it in a pannier keeps the clutter down.

At first I thought the fitting to connect to the Schrader valve was plastic, but it feels too hard for that- possibly machined aluminum? Overall the pump seems very nice. It is a bit difficult to pump air into a bicycle tire without kinking the air path.
