    ROOTS is one of the greatest filmed entertainments Earth has yet seen. I've now seen ROOTS in total three times and this Blu-ray is absolutely excellent. A top-notch show and a great-looking disc. History!

    The book is much better than the mini series

    I just read the book and really enjoyed it, then ordered the Blu-ray of the mini series. I remember watching the TV mini series in 1977. The movie was good to see again but the book is much better. If you have not read the book, do your self a favor and read it. To get the whole story and to understand better this part of our history through the lives of this family.

    Everybody should watch this mini series!

    One of the most important broadcasts on television ever. Television could be so great as a tool for learning but instead it has turned out to be a cash box for big corporations. You will never see a project on tv like roots again. The last place to look for good programimg on tv is PBS. Take some time and watch this mini series with your family and see how far we have not come.

    Classic Movie Series

    When this was shown on tv in the 70's, I was not able to watch it but now that I have seen it in the blu-ray edition and in its entirety, I am very impressed plus the 32 page book was very informative.
