      Once you learn it's issues....

      Excellent radio. Both this radio and its digital "big brother......the Uniden/Bearcat BCD996P2" are fantastic radios. Signal quality, features, selectivity are all excellent. Buy them while prices are this low. They're state-of-the-art in available radio. Not super easy to program but you don't need a genius-level IQ to figure them out. You'll love them once you get used to them.

      Uniden Bearcat BCT15X

      This scanner is well made with excellent range over its frequencies Range is limited to about 5 miles with supplied aerial Sound quality is good However it has several problems that need to be sorted out before you can use it in UK This scanner is programmed for use on the USA market so needs reprogramming before it can be used in UK It comes with no instruction booklet, but has a useless CD which doesn't work Fortunately there are several good Utube videos which show you the basics for reprogramming the scanner There are also loads of internet instruction if you have the time to browse for them It took me over 4hrs to set the scanner up as I wanted it Once set up it is a excellent piece of kit and by changing the aerial to a 10watt booster I can now get up to 20 miles on marine ...

      Althogh it may be difficult at first it's great scanner.

      The product is well made and looks terrific. As expected from my research the learning curve on programming is steep. I recommend the internet and getting an serial to USB adapter and some share ware called Freescan.
