    Nice item, well described. Promptly shipped. But I must say that shipping a fragile perhaps unique and certainly not replaceable, 120 year old item like this just in a USPS paperboard envelope is a recipe for disaster. Industry standards involve sandwiching an item like this between two pieces of corrugated cardboard. This piece could have easily been folded by a postal worker. I have bought a hundred or so of these on eBay over the years, and this was probably the 2nd riskiest packing job.
