      Love the Sengled Snap!

      I purchased two additional Sengled Snap Floodlight cameras to go with the one I already had. I love these units! They are less expensive than the Ring floodlight cams and do a great job. You need a robust internet connection for them to work well, and even with a super fast connection (I have about 120M down and about 20M up) you are better off to use 720p rather than 1080i resolution. Setup is a breeze and the app is excellent for phones (I'm less impressed with it when used on a tablet, though). You can't go wrong with these. I was able to keep an eye on my property from over 1,000 miles away and was notified any time a person walked into the field of view.       Should Have Researched This Product More

      The Sengled Snap Light does everything it is supposed to do. However, one HUGE issue is that you can't install it in a security light that has a motion sensor unless you re-wire the fixture to provide power to the SNAP at all times. I guess that makes sense, but I'll bet 99% of the security lights out there have the motion sensors...so, from a design standpoint, that's a big deal, but not a deal breaker. Another HUGE issue is some of the most basic features, like MOTION DETECTION, WILL NOT WORK unless you are paying for a monthly subscription. ThatI IS a deal breaker. The last thing I need is another monthly bill. So, if I want to set it up, it has to be ON at ALL times. Really stupid design/business model/scam.
