    • A very "wordy" book, filled with overly verbose and abstract commentary which strays from the actual subject of the book, i.e, "Reading Deadwood".

      This book is not meant for the average reader or "DEADWOOD" TV series watcher. This book is an in-depth analysis of the various characters of the TV series and their psychological make-ups, hang-ups and screw-ups. Various writers with highfalutin' university degrees in literature, psychology and philosophy wrote down their thoughts in terms that unfortunately, the "average" reader or TV-viewer would be hard-pressed to understand. I found the various articles stultifying and overly verbose. This book's various articles could and should have been written in easily HALF or ONE THIRD of their total content. This book is meant to be read by people of like mental and educational capacities of the various authors', which is why I only rated three stars in the above "questionnaire", yet I answered ...
