    Chrysler ignition dist pick up coil

    This screws in place nicely but the new pick up coil is not exactly perpendicularly aligned with the reluctor. The new pick up coil is now positioned much higher up toward the distributor rotor than is the OEM unit. Have yet to install the engine, still believe it will work but it might have some difficulty generating a properly timed spark when cranking. We'll see. Also, the wire grommet seal which installs into the dist housing is not a very good fit but it can be crammed into place. Since the grommet design is a bit different, it does not make a perfect fit/seal to the dist housing. Lastly, the wires inside the distributor are overly long and the possibility does exist that the wires might in fact make contact with the rotating distributor rotor.
