It’s a fan that is close to the ceiling that is not near where the grandkids can touch it. And the light is very bright. Actually it has a remote control where you can brighten or dim the light and you can make the fan run higher or lower. This is not a big fan. It’s not going put out a lot of wind/air, but it’s just enough to circulate the air, especially at night when you’re sleeping.
