I installed it, and it functions, but I'm keeping the original bolt release as a backup. Packaging was not adequate. When the item arrived, the angled part that contacts the Bolt Release Spring was sticking through the package. Luckily, it wasn't damaged or lost by the hole in the package tearing larger.
