    Good handle

    It didn't come with a wedge. I made my own but it should have been listed that it didn't come with one. It looks like a good strong handle. I was able to put the head on without cutting on the handle it was a good fit.

    Perfect Replacement

    Bought this axe probably 40 years ago at JC Penney for de-limbing when cutting fire wood. My neighbor borrowed it recently and broke the handle out of it. This handle was a perfect replacement and will outlast me.

    Wood grain in wrong direction

    Good design but grain of wood is perpendicular to the axe head instead of parallel and the eye needs to be beefier to allow custom fitting.
