    Good for checking on cats, but unreliable and too slow for security uses

    These cameras work well for remotely checking in on activity in low-security environment. The setup can be a bit tricky to associate with the HomeHawk app on your mobile device, as you have to ensure the app has "access to scan local network" and "location services" access and your internet router is set to "disable device isolation" as well (e.g. common on guest network) for the initial setup as the device and your mobile device/phone need to communicate for setup. Other than that the camera is fairly reliable, albeit very slow to connect and initiate remote playback. The prior version of these cameras operates must faster to connect to the camera and initiate playback, as well as access to up-front menu features prior to connecting to the camera.     Great indoor camera at a reasonable price.

    Easy to install as long as you follow the instructions. The picture is clear and being able to hear sounds and talk to the dog we leave in the house is great. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to monitor the interior of any type of building, as long as WiFi is available. My iPhone, iPad, and my wife’s iPhone are all hooked up to it. It takes still pictures and records video. For the price, it’s a great value
