    Ideal Switch for a large home network

    This Switch has great features and performance. If you are looking for a managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch, with 26 ports (you can use two copper SFP's to get 26 ports), and your budget is limited, this quiet (no fan) switch may be an excellent solution. The only negative comment I have, is that the Switch is missing a Console Port (Serial) for management. That makes the initial configuration somewhat complicated.

    ZyXEL GS1900-24 Managed Gigabit Switch

    I have used many managed switches in the past that were extremely expensive. However, this is my first time to use ZyXEL and I am awestruck by the control that it provides to my network. For a fraction of the cost I get better control and performance than most major brands. I will only buy ZyXEL from now on.
