Built around the Intel X79 Express chipset and featuring the LGA 2011/Socket R processor socket, the mainboard works with certain Intel CPUs such as Pentium, Celeron, Celeron Dual Core, Pentium Dual Core, Dual-Core Xeon 3000 series, Core 2 Quad, Xeon, Quad-Core Xeon 3300 series, Core 2 Duo. It supports up to 65536 MB DDR2 SDRAM memory type. Furthermore, the model features eSATA port, Serial ATA-600, Serial ATA-600 (RAID), Serial ATA-300 (RAID) storage interfaces and 7.1 Channels audio output.
