This was purchased as a gift and the clear plastic enclosure over the brush was stapled on. I could not give this as a gift since it appeared previously opened. When I messaged the seller regarding this he/she said it was stapled to keep the brush in the packaging. I messaged back explaining I could not offer this as a gift and there was no response. Poor misrepresentation of the product.
