    This is it!! The Van Halen tone you want!!

    I was pleasantly surprised by how good this little stomp box sounds! Makes my little practice amp sound like a wall of vari-ac'd Marshalls! The reverb is BEE YOU TEA FULL as well!! Only one complaint- you MUST use an AC adapter with this unit- a standard (non-alkaline) 9V battery will only last TEN MINUTES. I was just getting warmed up and my LED started going dim and the effect faded out. Other than that- MAGNIFICENT!! Took me back to 1978 all over again!! I've used a Big Muff Pie, and a Digital Metalizer in the past, as well as just good old tube driven amps, but THIS BOX IS MY FAVORITE BY FAR!! I am finally able to get that EVH tone!! I LOVE it!!

    Does what it says on the tin

    You wouldn't be looking at this if you didn't know what you were looking for...just to confirm: yes. Yes it has the sound. Note definition/separation is there, HF content is great, it emphasizes harmonics for squeals and howls, all that. Getting your chops in shape to maximize these features is on you.

    STOP CHASING!!!!

    Yes. This does what it says it'll do and YES...it sounds just like that legendary album from 1978. I plugged this into a Randall LB50 combo (clean channel) and it pumped out tons of 'brown' sound. Now this only seems to work on an amps clean channel as I tried it on a Marshall 1987 (modified by David Bray) and it was not as responsive as it was on the Randall. Playing with it is only part of the fun and dialing 'into' that sound is easy. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to have that tone. Adding a phaser only enhances the experience.

    Best brown sound pedal on the market

    This is the best brown sound pedal on the market hands down. I've owned about 10 of them from Wampler to Keeley to JHS.. they don't touch the Mad professor. I wouldn't think Finland would put out such good pedals since it's a socialist / communist country.. but they did great on this one.

    Not Thrilled, But Still Usable

    First off, there was no instructions accompanying the unit. Secondly, at times the volume seems to slightly drop off. Kinda suspect I was sold a unit that had previously been sold, and was returned when it was found to be defective. Not thrilled...
