    Fast service, good sturdy ladder.

    Got here faster than anticipated. Was of good, stainless steel construction. Seems to be solidly built. I mounted it on me existing swim platform, which had no ladder. (Had been broken off) Unfortunately the holes in the mounting brackets didn't align exactly with the flat spots underneath my old platform so I had to either drill new holes or cut into the ribs of the fiberglass platform to form a flat spot to put a sturdy metal bracket underneath. Ladder comes with screws, which would work fine if mounting into the transom, I would think, but needed to replace screws with nuts and bolts and fabricate two metal brackets to span the slots my original ladder used. Could have supplied those with the ladder, but as that is an optional method of mounting the bolts and brackets would have to be ...

    Holes...

    This is a very good quality swim platform. I thought it was a blank plate. I didn't know it was pre-drilled with other brackets in mind. Fortunately I have the skills and the tools to modify it. I will fill some of the existing holes with Marine Tex.

    A qualified recommendation

    I would have like the product better if it braced against the boat, and didn't curl under so much. Nevertheless, a real sharp looking rig that I saw installed on a newer pontoon boat - identical. I replace the wood screws with bolts to make it a little stronger handhold. I weigh close to 300 lbs and it supported me just fine. Also, for every ladder I see the foot pads KILL my feet. I used plastic ties to wrap the foot pads in pipe insulation. Now this works well for me.

    Outstanding Deal

    I went looking for the cheapest boarding ladder that would probable never get used, but needed it as part of the boats safety requirements. Very surprised at the quality of this item. Saved 20.00 over amazondotcom and 105.00 less then I could find it locally. If you need or want a boarding ladder don't pass this one by.
