NOT vile like cigarettes or weed -- probably just from being stored in a plastic bag (arrived in a plastic bag in a cardboard box). Still a satisfying shopping experience.       I'm so sorry if the compostable plastic bag maybe had an odor to it. We are a non smoking pet free home and I've had this since new so it must be the bag that created the odor. I always worry that a plush toy will get an odor in shipping because I know some carriers allow their workers to smoke along the delivery route so this is why I put it in the plastic bag. Its a compostable plastic bag so maybe it had the odor because of that.
