      Nice simple little stereo receiver.Excellent sound: Phono input, Great FM/AM stereo tuner!

      This works very well with vintage turntables and lower power type speakers. The amplifier puts out 30 watts per channel. Great accurate Yamaha classic sound similar to the more expensive vintage CR and NS series units. Great to use with speakers that a very efficient and require less power(90 to 93db 1watt/1meter)( Ex:Polk RT25i or Boston Acoustic A40,Paradigm Atoms or Mini monitor)great value in a modern simple stereo reliever.

      Packaging needs more care

      The receiver performance and quality is excellent. The packaging , however, was lacking. The box was too small. The protective bubble wrap was not adequate to protect the feet on the bottom of the receiver. One of the feet was broken and required gluing to reinstall. More care in packaging is needed to avoid damage.
