      Great Replacement Part

      Great replacement for a 66 year old set of springs. These springs are new and identical to the configuration of the original springs. Both new springs tested equal on the test bench so the hood should and does open and remain square when in the open position. the hood also closes evenly so as not to scratch the paint or have latching problems. All in all a good product . They seem high in price but when you consider that there were a lot fewer of this model car made than say the 55', 56' & 57' Chevy's then the price is understandable.

      glad i bought them as they are hard to find.

      anytime you can get new old stock parts its a good deal. I have not installed them yet but I compared them to what is in the olds and they match.

      weak springs

      These spring are very weak , the original 73 year old springs hold up hood around half way as these do not hold at all . Very disappointed .
