    These things are great. If you're consid...

    These things are great. If you're considering buying one of these make sure you have a (usually blue) "C" wire to power the thermostat, otherwise you'll have to manually charge it with a wall charger daily. There is a workaround if you don't have the "C" wire. You can use your fan wire to power the thermostat, but you'll lose the ability to run the fan. Just connect the fan wire to the "C" slot on the thermostat base, then switch the fan wire over to the "C" terminal on your HVAC unit...done.
