    Alternative to hot-glue repairs

    I can not recommend any 3D pen just to be able to melt plastic into a shape. I was able to remove the stuck plastic in the feeder and bought extra nozzels. I do toy repairs and have a 3D printer to make replacement parts. My intention is to use the 3D pen as a tool to repair broken plastic items by melting and stitching the pieces together with hot plastic vs the flexible hot-glue, super glue or epoxy. I also envision trying it for encapsulation of small electronic connectors. The hot-glue oozes too much. Time will tell if this works out as a useful tool.

    Feeding system

    I purchase the product because it look of good quality and from a reliable manufacturer. The item I received had a feeding problem and I returned it. No problem in returning the item and was promptly refunded. After checking other reviews about 40% of reviewer had the same problem.

    Fits the hand nice, that's it.

    This pen has never worked correctly. The extruder does not grab the filament at all. I have tried both PLA and ABS, both to no avail. According to many other reviews this is a very common issue. The hot end does heat up enough to melt the plastic, provided you push it through by hand. On a good note, it looks nice and fits the hand great.

    Doesn't work

    This thing doesn't get hot enough to properly extrude plastic. cheap components mean you're just out of luck. Get something else.
