    None Better for the Money

    Having used many mics in all price ranges and being in the broadcast business, doing both radio and voice overs, and having recorded professional singers, there is no better mic for the money. There is no best mic out there. The choice is completely up to the engineer or person recording and is a matter of personal preference. However, I challenge anyone who has used the "popular" expensive mics to take this to any recording engineer and you'll be surprised as to their opinion. Put this mic up against any and you'll soon realize that this mic CAN be the end all. Ask yourself this, "Do I really need thousand dollar mic?" This is one incredible mic that easily battles those that are 10 to 20 times more in price. Of course, this is just my opinion. You should test it and see if you like it as ...

    Messing with a good thing

    MXL got it right the first time when making the original V67. Unfortunately, like everything, they had to mess with it - replacing the simple FET circuit with a micro-circuit including some kind of built-in limiter - think cassette decks and CAMcorders - degrading the signal and taking the limiting options away from users. This might be good for the novice or person who doesn't want to bother with limiting their own signal, but since the range of options on limiting is nonexistent - always in circuit - I'm crying foul.

    Great mic

    Great for my home studio. Sounds crisp and clear without comprimise for the low end. Picks up a lot of noise. But if your setup is good with a noise gate, that's not really an issue. Great mic for the money!

    The pit bull audio mxl v67g

    I've used this particular mic lately and it's excellent. If you have a sound treated room to record in the next step is you get this mic and the custom look of the pit bull audio v67g is a lil more professiona but what truly matters is the sound. This mic delivers excellent results to my audio project.
