    Glorious, gone too soon

    Ok, I think this is helping me learn what opoponax really means. If it’s sugar, butter, lavender, with hints of rosemary……maybe some balsam……?? I get the little bursts of citrus, and some teeny cedar. It’s gorgeous at first blast, but so are a bunch of others. While the initial experience is nearly intoxicating, I find it softens very quickly, and is then pretty much skin scent, then very soon nearly undetectable. I have the EDP and don’t find it terribly strong nor to have huge projection. I so wish this was strong and with good longevity. I’ve actually got some Mackie lotion on my hands that is projecting much more, and that I think complements this somehow. But I am in LOVE. I hope this never becomes impossible to find. Esp since I’d use more sprays of this than most perfumes. But I ...

    Ciara by Revlon

    Have not used it yet. I do have some left in a bottle of 200 strength that I love. But can't find that strength anymore so bought this 100 strength to use when my 200 strength is gone. I love the scent of Ciara. Guess I should at least try this 100 strength and see how it compares to the 200. I bought the 100 strength bottle so I would still have the scent when my original bottle is emptied. Since it no longer is made I figured I'd better grab what I could find! I truly hate that 200 is no longer available.

    Powerhouse Perfume From The 1970's

    Ciara is a drugstore classic but not for everyone. It's a heavy Oriental scent that has incredible projection and lasts forever. I recommend that you use this sparingly as even a little packs a punch. I pick up woods,incense,amber,powder and a slightly sweet vibe (from raspberry?) as the fragrance wears down to the base. It's great for those who love an alpha female fragrance.

    My Signature Scent

    I started exclusively wearing Ciara as my scent in 1975. I was a beauty consultant for Revlon in several military PXes. I had the opportunity to sample countless fragrances, and the only one which elicited compliments was Ciara. Now, 42 years later, I'm still wearing Ciara, still receiving compliments and questions as to which scent I'm wearing. Just like me, Ciara is an oldie but definitely a goodie!
