      Replacing A Charge Port

      Charge port replacement is fairly easy if you know what your doing. The charge port is usually on the motherboard or it is an independent part (plug in play). Most are soldered to the motherboard (MB). Disassemble the device, incorporate heat tape on components around the port. Using a hot air station sweat the charge port off of the device, don't pull or pry it should come off as smooth as butter - once the solder around its base is released. Clean up the area around the charge port with solder removal or touch areas with light solder. Place the new charge port in position and heat. It should sink down into the solder and be secure and usable. This product is perfect for the heat needed - order 2 just in case.
