Tried using it forward and backwards on an area rug with cat fur all over. Didn't even attract one single cat hair! Bottom of the broom was clean with no cat hair. What does work though is a home depot commercial real stiff bristle broom 12 to 14 inch. Use it backwards or forwards works great! Pull off the fur and hair easily by hand! Should have tried it first!!! Maybe seller could start selling those type brooms??
