    Arrived very quickly and safely, well packaged and shipping was quite reasonable. It is made of earthenware not porcelain and both are earthenware and porcelain are ceramic. It was not made in Czechoslovakia it states on the bottom it was made in Germany. You said it had a chip but you neither showed it or mentioned where it was. Frankly, I couldn't fine one. I suggest you loose the AI descriptions and just state the facts including the size.

    Thawing and cooling couldn't be easier

    We have 2 of these in use frequently, keeping one in the freezer for quick cooling of foods, prior to packing a lunch to go, and one (we pre heat with hot water in the sink) for thawing frozen foods prior to cooking. Note: We do not put food directly on the aluminum tray, but on a dinner plate or in a shallow soup bowl.

    worth every penny.

    This is my second Miracle Thaw. I received one for Mother's Day in 1995 and it was getting a little worn. So excited that I found the item and to be able to purchase it. Great gadget for someone who forgets to take something out of the freezer for dinner.
