I messaged the seller in case I was sent the wrong part and so I didn’t mess with anything. They got back to me right away saying yes, take that piece off. Then it went to together really easily and so far, it seems as advertised! The seat is pretty squishy and it’s BIG. I’m 5’8” about 160lb and I wasn’t expecting such a large saddle seat- but that’s my bad for not looking at the measurements provided. I love that I can adjust the tilt!
