    Small, Compact and Precise

    Just to clarify, the person who wrote the review back in 2105 gave it 4stars based on it not having an audible alert. Mine has an audible alert when it detects the edges of a stud (or metal pipe). That means this stud finder gets a 5 out of 5 rating. You can opt to spend a lot more money and get a more modern "bells and whistles" stud finder or you can purchase this neat little "COMPACT" size stud finder. This is an "edge finder" and not a "center stud" finder. The difference between the two is the edge finder you have to "average the difference" between when the light comes on and goes off and guess where the center is and the other tells you.

    Don't waste your money

    I had ordered a Zircon L50 a few weeks before buying this PRO-SL AC unit. The L50 did not work that great on finding studs and the AC find was non-existent.Since I wanted a unit primarily for finding AC wires I purchased the PRO-SL AC which was supposed to be enhanced with great AC wires find. Doesn't work at all. I'm an electrician so know what I'm doing.
