The seller listed the item as the pricier “G2” model but sent the older “G1” model—deceitful and misleading to buyers unfamiliar with the difference. I initiated a return through eBay, and while a refund was eventually processed, the seller initially expected me to cover return shipping, delayed responding for six days, and refused to cover $170+ AUD in non-refundable import duties. This also left me out of pocket for an additional $1,050 AUD for over 30 days. Do not purchase from this seller.

Item was received very quickly. Just in two days it came to my country. The item worked very well, unfortunately there was a minor issue with the lens. I have informed the seller. The seller has agreed to issue the refund to me at once. The saller is 100% genuine and Trustworthy . I recommend buying from this seller because you are safe with him. Thanks seller.

Bright lens with good quality image

Works very well in poorly lit, confined spaces (e.g. museums). Offers good picture quality and great low-light performance. It's a little bit heavy, so I wouldn't recommend it as an everyday lens, but some of that weight is due to durable construction, so it should last for years. My only issue is with occasionally missed focus. It is usually only slightly off, but it's enough to cost it one star. Also, be aware that to get best performance out of Sigma lens it's a good idea to invest in their USB dock to fine tune the auto focus.

    Nice lens

This lens is really nice but on my nikon d7200 it consistently front focused even with me spending nearly 5 hours using the calibration tool I could not get it to focus where I was aiming. Now the areas in front were very good. I just may have gotten one with an issue since it was used. But I had also purchased the sigma 17-70 f2.8-4 and had the same issue on my d5200. It's also really heavy and especially if your going to be doing photos for more than an hour or a man

  • Pro glass at affordable price

This lens is amazing. Out of the box it works perfect on my Nikon D5300. It holds 1.8f evenly over the entire focus range of 18-35mm. The manual focus is very smooth and silent. I also paired it with a metabones speed booster 0.64 XL and a Lumix GH4. It goes to complete manual mode. But the images for video are stunning. Especially in low light. I can shoot at very low ISO and the field of view is nice and shallow.

  • Sharp. Bright.

Not a zoom with the longest range but one of the brightest. Add to it that the lens does not move in and out when focusing and you have a very capable lens with a small variation of zoom lengths and one of the brightest and sharpest images on the market. Be warned however, pairing this with a knockoff speed booster will mean subtly blurry details. That is the fault of the glass on the cheap speed booster, not the lens. So either use a proper speed booster like the Metabones or don't use a speed booster at all.

  • Terrible auto focus.

This lens doesn't focus correctly even after spending 3 days to calibrate it with the usb dock. The image quality is sharp but it's useless because it can't auto focus correctly any where further than 2 meters, either front or back focus. It can only focus correctly within the calibration distance of less than 2 meters. Don't know if my copy was bad or not. I wish it focuses correctly because it's a nice lens, sharp and nice build quality.
