I did not use the spring that came with the kit, I used the OG spring. The new spring was quite bigger and stronger. One thing I noticed when I cut the oil line at the barb fitting (in order to remove and reinstall the filter), there is a small spring inside the oil feed tube, this is to prevent kinking. Remove as little of this hose as necessary.
