    They can definitely extend your biking season but they come with some compromises

    They really do work and I can tell you that anyone who has fallen on black ice will be instantly confidant with these tires. You can literally ride on sheer ice with little fear of falling so long as you are sensible with your ride. These tires are heavy, they are sharp and I have cut myself on them, they are loud and they top out at about 70PSI. The rolling resistance is horrendous but they let you do what no other tire can do.....ride on ice with confidence.
