    A good basic phono cartridge

    The Audio Technica AT90 is a good first cartridge for a turntable novice. If you are starting out in the world of vinyl playback you can spend very little and get good performance from this cartridge. All needed mounting hardware is included.. Installation instructions are brief but can get you up and running. If you're not sure how far you want to go, expense-wise this is a great choice to see what vinyl can do for you. The conical stylus is not for the vinyl connoiseur. A bi-radial stylus tracks better and yields better sound.

    Bringing a old Turntable back from the dead.

    Had an old Technics turntable from the late 1970's. It needed a belt and a new cartridge to bring it back to life. Bought this cartridge and it did the trick. It was easy to install and it arrived in a timely manner. I looked at just replacing the stylus (needle) but it was $12-15 for that and for $18-20 you could replace the whole cartridge. Turns out I could have just bought a P-mount and saved a couple of bucks,this kit came with a adapter allow you to use this cartridge in universal mount tone arm. The cartridge sounds fine, not quite as good as a pricier one I have in a better turntable but nice with this set-up and at this price point.

    Very nice cartridge for general use

    I bought both the AT-90 and AT92 (respectively conical and ellyptical stylus). For my JVC AL-L20RBK and Sony PS-LX 510 tangential drives. Out of the box a very comfortable sound, I must admit, specially the AT92. An excellent alternative cartridge ! Highly recommended, for a super-price. Fast delivery, less than a week.
