When I got it I could hear a plastic ball bearing in the main unit and the seller and myself believe this is a tilt sensor in case it was to fall over to shut it off. So everything seems to work just fine, just like my other one you can't depend on it to always stay accurately at a set humidity, some days are better than others.

It was shipped in the original box flipped inside out for the brown was facing out, the box got beat up in shipping but the unit was fine. SUPER FAST SHIPPING and arrived on time!
